Chris Dunn was born in 1945. He studied at Queen Mary College, University of London, the London School of Economics and the Open University and worked as a financial journalist for several national publications including the Daily Mail, The Times, The Economist and the Financial Times.

Chris' writing was greatly influenced by his own experiences in newsrooms and trading floors, and he used the Contango series to expose the corruption he witnessed in the banking industry. Written over many years, Chris’s foresight was astonishing, as his books predicted the global financial crisis and the fraudulent practices that have scandalised the media in recent months.

Chris died in 2007 after completing twelve books in the Contango series and his six Good Trader financial commentaries.  Since Chris’s death, Louise Oddy, his partner of over twenty years, has been dedicated to securing Chris’s literary legacy and the re-launch of this series of dynamic and timely novels of which Chris would have been immensely proud.
